Robin Pugh

Robin Pugh is a highly acclaimed private equity expert, having been involved in the field of corporate recovery and growth over 25 years.
Robin not only has the capability to solve the highly complex problems that occur in turnaround situations, he has also successfully grown and sold a number of businesses in the service and manufacturing sectors and is a highly capable Chairman and CEO.
Robin's primary expertise lies in recovering debts and regenerating value in unstable companies on behalf of banks, institutional investors and shareholders. His exceptional track record speaks for itself; to date he has recovered over £175M for a wide array of established and blue chip clients including RBOS, 3i, ECI, Barclays and Piper Private Equity, amongst others.
Because of Robin's excellent professional reputation as a private equity guru this has led to a high level of media interest, culminating in frequent live interviews on both national television and radio, regularly interviewed on BBC 2, Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live and is often asked to commentate in the public eye.
Robin has been integrally involved in numerous successful exits, such as Drive Tech, Darlington Crystal and Prime Time Recruitment.
Robin has enjoyed meeting entrepreneurs throughout his career, learning about their businesses and sharing in the challenges and successes of running their own business. He also worked with many of the UK's banks to turn around their distressed debts.
Richard Jones

Richard Jones is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, a Fellow of the IOD, has an MBA, and degrees in a range of subjects. Richard is our resident expert in family business and succession planning. With over twenty years' experience running highly successful finance, IT, legal, HR and operations functions, Richard excels as a motivational leader within start-up and turnaround environments. Establishing and modernising finance departments and using the latest technologies to create additional value and commercial insight.
Richard believes in developing solutions by simplifying complexity. Spearheading the sale of several businesses, implementing strategies for growth and managing all the complex interrelated stakeholder management, delivering success within the Private Equity field and beyond.
Richard is as comfortable building complex financial models as he is managing a sales process and has developed a sophisticated toolkit of approaches to finance department turnaround, strategy selection and operational integrity.
Richard has extensive experience across several sectors including technology, subscription models, healthcare, retail, property, marketing, construction services, FM and engineering. With knowledge of a range of ownership structures (family, VC/PE, Trustee, HNW).
Shahin Gulamali

Shahin Gulamali is a Chartered Accountant and a specialist in SME and family owned businesses experiencing stress or distress. Shahin has a track record in delivering value in a short time and creating sustainable change. Supporting management teams to achieve their financial outcomes through operational improvements, establishing processes, controls, systems and reporting that is easy to implement and use by company staff to ensure adoption and longer term sustainability.
Shahin worked for nine years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in corporate turnaround and corporate finance and was Director of Finance for BBC Online.
Her career has resulted in considerable experience in legal, recruitment, technology and media, property, hotel and leisure, retailing, restaurants and bars.
Mark Buckley

Mark Buckley is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with over 20 years expertise within manufacturing and is a highly experienced and successful Chairman / Director who has specialised in the past 10 years in turnaround assignments both as an executive and as a consultant.
He has considerable experience of operating in a number of business structures ranging from Blue Chip pan European PLC's to debt funded MBO's. His skills includes commercial and transactional finance, operational and change management, procurement and IT project management and time as a Chief Executive within turnaround environments. Mark has worked extensively with both debt funders and external equity investors predominantly within owner managed SME's and has highly developed communication skills and integrity, which have allowed him to impact at both the Strategic and Operational level.
Mark is on the National Turnaround Panels at Deloitte's, KPMG and Mazars and was nominated to a short list of 5 for the Endless Interim Director of the Year for 2010 and 2011.
Gareth Cork

Gareth, graduated from the University of Warwick in 2014 with a degree in Management. During his time at University, Gareth co-run the Warwick Economics Summit, the largest student-run academic conference in Europe and implemented a new vision to continue to build upon its worldwide reputation. He selected and managed a team of 16 team leaders to strategically target corporate sponsors, leading policy makers and academics.
He has gained experience in digital marketing from owning and running a web design business from the age of 14. As a holder of a Private Pilots License, Gareth enjoys flying in his spare time.
